POST-DOCS AND VISITING SCHOLARS


Dr. Jintao Cui

Jintao is a Post-Doc from the Agricultural Water and Soil Engineering Department in the College of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering at Hohai University, China. He is working with Dr. Hoogenboom.


Dr. Chen Li

Chen Li, is an associate professor at the School of Economics, Ocean University of China. She is a visiting scholar with Dr. James L. Anderson on fishery economics in the Institute for Sustainable Food Systems at the University of Florida. Dr. Li received her Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Renmin University of China in 2010. Her research focuses on marine and fisheries economics and policy, aquaculture markets and international trade. Her recent work has been directed toward fishery carbon sink and carbon emissions, aquatic product international trade and constraints to aquaculture and fishery development.


Dr. Ly Nguyen

Ly is a Post-Doc working on fisheries economics with Dr. James L. Anderson at the Institute for Sustainable Food Systems, University of Florida. Ly earned her Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Auburn University. She studied previously at Tromso University in Norway (Masters), and at Nong Lam University, Vietnam (Bachelors). She was a faculty member at Nong Lam University for 8 years prior to attending Auburn University to pursue her PhD. Ly’s research interests range from agricultural trade policy and food safety to risk and policy analysis. While her research has focused primarily on issues related to fish markets and marine resources, she is willing and able to apply her knowledge and experiences to new areas including fruits and vegetables, herbs and spices, and energy. She has experience combining theory, quantitative methods, and data in the analysis of issues affecting society.


Dr. Atle Øglend

Atle is a visiting scholar from the Department of Safety, Economics and Planning at the University of Stavanger, Norway. He is working with Dr. Frank Asche on international food trade economics.


Dr. Ruth B. M. Pincinato

Ruth is a visiting scholar from the Department of Safety, Economics and Planning at the University of Stavanger, Norway. She is working with Dr. Frank Asche on fisheries and aquaculture economics. 


Dr. Xiaoli Wei

Dr. Xiaoli Wei is an associate professor at the College of Electrical and Information Engineering, Northeast Agriculture University, Harbin, P.R. China. He arrived on April 21, 2019 to work with Dr. Gerrit Hoogenboom.
